The Opportunity :
The Manufacturing Coordinator supports daily operational efficiency by managing purchase order processing, vendor communication, fleet documentation, and site Health & Safety requirements. This role provides vital administrative and organizational support to the Finance, Operations, and Safety teams, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and consistent workflow across the facility.

Financial & Purchasing Coordination
- Submit, review, and process purchase orders (POs) in alignment with Maple Leaf Foods policies.
- Track payments, follow up on outstanding invoices, and ensure timely processing.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for financial documents and operational records.
- Collaborate with the Finance team during month-end activities and support reconciliations as required.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendors, resolving inquiries and providing ongoing support.
- Identify opportunities to simplify or improve purchasing processes.
- Create and manage inventory counts (weekly, monthly and annual)
- Completion of Electronic Change Records in SAP for new material setups
- Manage vendor set up and updates in SAP
- Generate Weekly Egg Settlement Report and Levy Payments; submit reports for payment
- Create manual credits and debits for producers directed by Finance
Fleet Management Support
Manage and maintain fleet-related file systems, including registrations, inspection reports, maintenance records, and certifications.Support scheduling and tracking of required fleet renewals, audits, and compliance documents.Assist in coordinating communication between Drivers, Operations, and external service providers.Maintain accurate records of fleet-related expenses and documentation.Health & Safety Representative
Participate in Health & Safety training and ensure proper documentation and tracking.Support the review, updating, and distribution of site safety documents, procedures, and training materials.Assist in incident reporting, investigation notes, corrective action documentation, and follow-up.Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with Maple Leaf Foods and provincial safety requirements.Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and audits as required.Manage front office and supplies; sort and distribute mail, prepare packages for shipment, manage Cisco phone system, Control and direct deliveries / visitors through front gate.
What You’ll Bring :
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience with purchase order processing, vendor management, or administrative coordination is an asset.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to ERP or procurement systems is beneficial.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.Knowledge of workplace safety practices or previous H&S experience is an asset.Competencies
