Electrical Engineer, Intermediate / Senior

Wood is currently seeking an Intermediate / Senior Electrical Engineer  to join our Eastern Canada Operations team who will provide engineering support through the application of extensive and comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and practices in the performance of all electrical discipline design work across our Eastern Canada business.

• Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university
• Registered professional engineer with PEGNL
• 7-10+ years of experience in the Power Utility, Mining / Industrial and / or Renewable Energy sectors considered an asset
• Experience dealing with contractors for on-site construction support and sound understanding of multi-discipline industrial construction planning
• Demonstrable experience in managing electrical scopes of multi-disciplinary projects
• Solid knowledge of CSA Standards and Local Codes
• Attention to detail and pride in work quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong client focus
• Resourceful team player with self-starter aptitude
• Travel to client sites will be required, therefore candidate must pass a mandatory site-specific drug and alcohol test, as well as provide a clear record of conduct
• Current authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
