The Opportunity :
ML6 is working with a top consumer goods company to find a Senior Financial Analyst, Trade Spend. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Consumer Sales team to assist with budget creation, forecasts, and pricing strategies.
You will be responsible for managing trade spend liabilities through tracking rebates, deduction activities, and delivering valuable insights that enable your team to make informed decisions and drive business success.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Trade Program Oversight : Manage trade programs and processes, including setting up and tracking trade accounts. Accurately process, log, and code customer deductions.
- Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with Business Development Managers to evaluate trade spend, identify pricing discrepancies, and adjust rebates to ensure financial alignment.
- Financial Management : Monitor trade spend balances (accrued vs. paid) to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
- Reporting & Analysis : Prepare comprehensive reports on pricing and trade activities. Provide insights on volume and pricing variations, while effectively managing approved spending.
- Pricing Models : Create pricing scenarios and models to support margin management and evaluate potential pricing changes.
- Tool Enhancement : Develop and maintain forms, dashboards, and trackers. Work with the Sales team to improve analytics and expand reporting capabilities through the use of new digital tools.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful :
- A university degree in Business or Accounting.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cross-functional business finance, with strong knowledge of CPG pricing and trade processes.
- Proficiency with technology and an ability to quickly adapt to new systems and tools.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a simple and effective way.
