Bilingual Finance Controller (Manufacturing)
Our client, a leading company in the high-performance sports equipment industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual (French / English) Finance Controller for their facility in Mascouche, Quebec. The Finance Controller will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting for the Mascouche location. This includes overseeing daily operations such as accounts payable / receivable and payroll, preparing financial statements and budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, managing internal controls, and processing payroll for the site.
Duties and Responsibilities
Apply accounting and statistical knowledge to create and maintain costing details and bills of materials for numerous SKUs across various systems.
Create and maintain all financial reporting for the location, including variance reporting (actual cost vs. standard cost), accurately tracking labor, raw materials, depreciation, overhead, etc., across multiple business units within the same facility.
Analyze changes in design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, and salaries to determine their effect on production costs.
Provide management with ad hoc reporting when necessary.
Verify the accuracy of inventory value at standard cost (Items Costs, Bills of Materials, Routings).
Prepare the monthly inventory valuation schedule and reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger.
Assist in the improvement of internal controls throughout the facility (purchasing, inventory, etc.).
Calculate annual labor and overhead rates and explain fluctuations from prior periods.
Monitor inventory transactions and work with Operations to eliminate recurring errors.
Develop monthly inventory reports and variance analysis.
Perform current cost roll-up and standard cost updates throughout the year and annually.
Create / manage weekly operations reporting, which includes preparing files, identifying manufacturing variances, and helping stakeholders understand their data.
Analyze manufacturing variances from standard cost and report on the impact of those variances (both projected and historical).
Assist in annual internal and external audits as required.
Investigate inventory adjustments and work with Operations to eliminate recurring errors.
Process bi-weekly payroll for the location.
Assist employees with inquiries related to payroll and insurance.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
3-5 years of relevant experience in a Controller position, including experience with Cost Accounting
Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
Experience with Oracle and Payworks is preferred
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree required
CPA preferred
Skills
Strong communication skills in both French and English (written and verbal) are mandatory.

Work Arrangement
This is a full-time, on-site position in Mascouche, Quebec.
Standard working hours are 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM or 5 : 00 PM
