Job description

The Village of Taunton Mills located in Whitby, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Assistant General Manager - LTC to join their Village team.

As our new Assistant General Manager, you will :

  • Hold a certificate of Long-Term Care Organization and Management or similar qualification as approved by the Ministry of Health.
  • Meet the requirements of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Have proven ability to work with Collective Agreements and resolve personal issues.
  • Be mature, enthusiastic and motivated to meet the needs of geriatric people.
  • Have experience and ability in problem analysis and solving.
  • Willingness to upgrade and maintain personal and educational qualifications as required by the changing demands of the job.
  • It would be an asset if our new Assistant General Manager has :

  • Proven the ability to be adaptable and flexible and accommodate a diverse set of individual needs
  • Have previous experience in organization and planning and ability to delegate responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and experience as a leader in Retirement Living, Program Standard Manual requirements, and the Resident Bill of Rights
  • Knowledge and experience in operational fiscal management
