Primary Health Care Physician - Preeceville

Emergency Room services are offered between 08 : 00 - 20 : 00 on weekdays and 08 : 00-16 : 30 on weekends. Clinic hours are 08 : 00 - 18 : 30 during the week and 08 : 00 - 16 : 30 on the weekends.

Hours subject to change Minimum Potential Salary : $383,340.00 Maximum Potential Salary : $443,807.00 Method of Payment : Contract Method of Payment Description : 4-step primary health care compensation grid based on 1840 hours of onsite clinic and ER service per contract year.

Emergency call coverage for hospital in-patients, home care, long-term care residents, and critical lab values is in addition to the 1840 hours.

Job Description

The community of Preeceville, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a team orientated and professional family physician to join their primary health care team.

The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care services to the community of Preeceville and surrounding area and will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the acute care and emergency services in the area.

This position will remain open until filled and may be filled prior to the posted closing date

The successful candidate may be eligible for :

The SMA Retention Fund , which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $3,500 - $7,000

Job Qualifications

  • Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Recommended - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
  • Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada
