Senior Accountant / Reporting Accountant

Adecco is currently inviting applications for a full-time, permanent position as a Senior Accountant / Reporting Accountant , representing our esteemed client, a leader in the energy sector based in Regina, SK.

This role entails the management of financial operations, ensuring precise financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Provide insights and recommendations for financial improvements.
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations specific to the energy sector.
• Experience with managing finances in the Canadian energy sector
