Mainframe Developer

Mainframe DeveloperLocation : Toronto, ONFTEResponsibilities : 5+ years of experience in Design, code, test, and debug mainframe software applications.Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to understand project requirements.Create and modify mainframe applications using programming languages like COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.Perform performance tuning of mainframe systems and applications.Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures for mainframe systems.Maintain documentation of system modifications and developments.Provide support and maintenance for existing mainframe applications.Conduct system analysis to detect issues and ensure optimal performance.Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.Train and assist less experienced team members or users.Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience with mainframe programming languages and tools (e.G., COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Analytical and coding skills from working on IM.Experience in Coolgen, ISPF / TSO, VSAM, IBM utilities / SORT, Control-M.Certifications such as SAS, ITIL, CECRL, B2, LOMA280 / 290, SANS, CISSP (preferred).
