What You’ll Do
- Work with a broad range of charity, not‑for‑profit and small business clients.
- Prepare year‑end financial statements and working paper files for audit, review and notice‑to‑reader engagements.
- Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including drafting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare tax filings for individuals, corporations, trusts, charities and NPOs.
- Provide solutions to clients on current business and financial conditions.
- Deliver exceptional client service and build our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors.
Who You Are
- Accounting diploma or certificate, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3+ years of public practice experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting (preferred).
- Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills.
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to identify unusual transactions or accounts.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Client service focus, demonstrated initiative and a team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
- Experience with HST regulations and returns is an asset.
