This is a full time year round rotating shift position 14 days on / 14 days off, ideal for a person who enjoys the Northern Ontario small community life style. Lafarge presently has an operation setup on the Evolution mine site, this operation supplies the mine 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The batcher role for this operation is strongly focused on concrete supply for the mine site and ongoing communication with the mine personal to ensure their specific needs are met. Our goals is to supply them with a consistent quality concrete product.
Responsibilities
Safety :
- Understand the Lafarge Safety Culture.
- Follows and ensures full compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Interact with drivers in order to inform them of safety protocols and initiatives.
Planning & Inside Sales :
Taking Customers Orders, Set up daily schedules of concrete deliveries, driver times and incoming materials.Daily driver supervision and dispatching.Interaction with customers, provide independent customers with pricing with in guidelines provided by plant manager.Provide customers with general concrete information and promote value added products.Operations :
Ensure accuracy of batch system to produce a quality product.Monitor plant maintenance requirement, truck maintenance needs.Complete documentation of maintenance records, daily reports and inspections.Yard and equipment inspection documentation and inspections as required.Working with QC to ensure daily testing is completed.Assist in tracking and managing KPI goals.Promoting processes to show improvementInventory Management :
Complete end of day requirements, control and document inventory usages.Month end inventory process.Responsible for ordering raw materials based on production needs.Specific Accountabilities :

Incumbent should have Grade 12 Education with some computer skills and the drive to learn and develop additional skills related to plants and concrete production3 years of experience in Ready Mix field or related combination of experience and educationAbility to perform minor maintenance taskCommunication SkillsAdditional Assets :
