Job Title : Warehouse Order Picker Job Description

As a Warehouse Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment. You will handle both perishable and non-perishable grocery items using a double electric pallet jack and a headset for locating items within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders of perishable and non-perishable grocery items using a double electric pallet jack.
• Use a headset to accurately locate items within the warehouse.
• Palletize and stage pallets for shipment.
• Assist fellow order pickers in locating and fulfilling orders.
• Work in various temperature environments : ambient, cooler, and freezer.

Work Environment

This is a unionized facility with a requirement to pay union dues. The work environment includes dry storage, cooler, and freezer areas. Employees should dress appropriately with pants, STWB, and bring their own sweater or layers. All necessary PPE, including freezer jackets, are provided. The wage starts at $20 with a $0.50 premium for working in the freezer, plus additional premiums for high performance. Union wage increases occur annually. The shift is from 8 pm to 4 : 30 am, with mandatory weekend shifts and the option to choose two weekdays off. Training is conducted from Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm.
