Aircraft Structures Technician (AME - S or Military Equivalent)

Position overview : The Aircraft Structure Technician (ACS) performs Elementary, Servicing and Maintenance duties in support of the Main Operating Base (MOB). This position reports to the Main Operating Base in Greenwood, NS.

What You Will Do

• Perform First, Second and Third Level repairs on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment.
• Assess damage, control corrosion, repair, modify and replace aircraft structures and structural components using recognized techniques and specialized tools and equipment.
• Support ramp operations including pre / post flight, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling / defueling and installation / removal of mission equipment and crash and salvage response.
• Fly as necessary to support maintenance, ferry and deployment operations.
• Travel and work at other main operating bases, deployments at remote sites, mobile repair parties and ferry flights.
• Provide on-job-training to other employees.
• Attend training for trade and personnel development and for qualification / certification purposes.
• Sweep and clean hangar, shop, stores and office areas; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and directives.
• Provide supervision to other employees.
• Perform other tasks as may be required from time to time.
