Job Description
The INTREPID Lab at CAMH is seeking a full-time, temporary (until November 2025) to oversee all activities related to education, training, and knowledge mobilization (KMb) for all projects and studies across the INTREPID Lab. Reporting to the Director, the Manager will be responsible for supporting the INTREPID Lab in all education and training initiatives, including the TEACH Project. The Manager E-KMb will lead and oversee the development of Education and KMb projects including aspects of design, communications, coordination, and stakeholder management. The Manager, will lead the development, and submission of non-peer reviewed grant applications. The manager will also represent CAMH with external stakeholders and committees including government and funders (i.e., Health Canada).
The Manager is also responsible for managing human resources, financial / budget management, legal agreements, building and sustaining relations with key stakeholders, monitoring key performance indicators, and supporting reporting obligations for project sponsors.
This position will report to the Director of Operations at INTREPID, and work collaboratively with other managers, scientists and clinicians. This position is currently located at the 1025 Queen Street with a hybrid onsite / remote work arrangement that may transition to a fully onsite work arrangement in the future.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversight and full project management of all Education, Knowledge Mobilization, and training initiatives in the INTREPID Lab
- Oversight of Canada’s benchmark tobacco cessation training program (TEACH Project) : implementation of accredited education and training curricula across Canada
- Leadership for all E-KMb day-to-day operations, including leading team meetings, creating and managing project workplans and task delegation, applying critical thinking and analytical skills to make key decisions regarding program direction and priorities
- Identify best practices in learner and user experience / interface design and implement design processes and standards across the Lab to ensure excellence in learner experience across diverse education technology solutions
- Collaborate with subject matter and lived experience experts to design education content and knowledge resources to support accessibility and excellence in user experience
- Identify opportunities for improvements to existing education technology and learning management systems
- Collaborate with INTREPID Lab Scientists and other teams (i.e., STOP Program) to support KMb activities for studies and project
- Develop grant proposals to external funding institutions to support the expansion of the INTREPID Lab’s Education and KMb portfolios.
- The Manager will oversee the budget for Education and KMb initiatives (TEACH revenue, other projects), within both the Research and CAMH Corporate portfolios for projects ranging from $100,000 to $3 million per annum
- Develop budgets for human resources, infrastructure and technology, subject matter and lived experience compensation and other costs to operationalize the INTREPID Lab strategic directions
- Engage in strategic planning by identifying funding opportunities and ways to leverage existing funding.
- Prepare activity and financial reports to funders, and to monitor spending patterns and generate financial forecasts
- Oversee current funding partnerships through the submission / approval of invoices, review of agreements and the completion and / or submission of reporting documents
- Hire, supervise, and performance manage staff
- They will support staff in development and growth / mentor and counsel direct reports and support for continuous improvement.
- Negotiate vendor agreements involving IP ownership, copyright to ensure that CAMH’s best interests are represented
- Identify needs, source solutions and vendors, liaise with CAMH’s Procurement Department and obtain necessary approvals
- Executing RFPs, RFIs for ongoing program operations
- Liaise with CAMH Public Affairs to promote relevant information about INTREPID Lab initiatives (i.e., World No Tobacco Day)
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with relevant stakeholders to enhance the spread and uptake of INTREPID Lab initiatives, including the TEACH Project
- Engage with stakeholders and collaborators, including people with lived experience, in the development of funding proposals to build buy-in and investment from external bodies in INTREPID Lab initiatives
- Participation in CAMH Education Integration Working Group, and sub-groups (ad hoc) to ensure that the INTREPID Lab is aligned with CAMH’s best practices in Education and to represent the Lab at this hospital-wide planning table
- Team leadership; responsible for generating and maintaining high levels of staff engagement, team efficiency, and performance
Minimum Requirements
