Are you an accomplished Project Manager with a passion for driving successful construction projects? At BEL contracting part of NorLand Limited, we’re seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee our high-impact projects.

Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

In this role, you’ll manage project timelines, coordinate with teams, and ensure every detail aligns with our commitment to excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Your primary responsibilities will include :
  • Review the contract, plans & specifications to determine scope of work and to define project requirements and milestones.
  • Lead a project team to safely meet project milestones, within budget and to specifications.
  • Manage all aspects of project performance, including but not limited to, startup, safety, cost, schedule, quality, environmental, client interface, operations, scope changes, billing, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain solid, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Work on project pursuits and lead proposal efforts, when required.
  • Mentor junior team members with the aim to develop their skills.
  • Manage claims and change orders.

What we’re looking for :

  • 8+ years’ minimum experience managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from project start to project closeout in Canada.
  • Onsite project management experience on a variety of large scale heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects which involved highways, underground utilities, earthworks, and structures.
  • Ability to effectively manage new client development, client issues, complaints and inquiries while providing excellent service to clients.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects skills, Hard Dollar experience is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, where collaboration is the key to success.
  • Strong work ethic - ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Compensation

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $100-135k per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
