The Truck Driver ensures the safe and timely transportation of goods and equipment within the airport by operating various vehicles loading and unloading cargo conducting vehicle inspections and adhering to safety and traffic regulations.

WHAT ITS LIKE TO WORK AS A TRUCK DRIVER

• Safely operate various types of trucks and vehicles used in airport operations
• Adhere to all traffic and airport safety regulations
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper working condition
• Transport goods equipment and personnel efficiently to designated locations
• Maintain accurate logs of travel cargo and schedules per regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with airport staff for careful loading and unloading of goods
• Respond promptly to dispatch instructions and ensure timely cargo delivery
• Comply with airport security procedures and report any incidents or safety concerns
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in Canada
• Must possess a valid provincially issued permanent drivers license (e.g. Class 5 or Class G)
• Communicate effectively in English (reading writing speaking)
• Commercial drivers license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving
• Knowledge of safety regulations and cargo securing procedures
• Physical stamina for loading and unloading cargo
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets Computers and Mobile Devices
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both in-person and through electronic means
• Eligible to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card)
• Airlines are 24/7 so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights weekends and holidays
