Position Overview:

Position:Floater Security Guard

Wages:$18.00/hr

Locations:Brantford & Hamilton

Shift timings:Varies (Days AfternoonsNightsand Weekends. Preference for those who can workdifferent typesof shifts)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics police and firefighters whenrequired.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denyingentryto anyone without authorization.
• Assistwithcoveragesat various sites to enhance security at strategic locations.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or otherappropriate personnelwhen security breaches occur.
• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• 01-year Security Experience.
• Thoroughunderstanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Effective communication skills.
