Pharmacist F/T or P/T at Newgen PharmaChoice

Newgen PharmaChoice is the BC Renal and BC Transplant pharmacy in the Fraser Valley area. We serve patients living in Aldergrove, Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Agassiz, and Hope. Our store has been locally owned and operated since 1980. The store is located in a medical building that has many different physicians including family medicine, internal medicine, ENT, psychiatry, general surgery, oral pathology, and optometry. This is a dynamic work environment with opportunities to collaborate inter-professionally in a growing area of Abbotsford.

Our pharmacy’s mission is to provide the best care possible to our patients. In order to do so, we value building rewarding customer relationships as this has shown to help improve patient outcomes, adherence, and patient safety through discovering each patient’s needs on an individual basis. Many of our patients are multi-generational, having stayed with us for 30+ years.

Our team includes 4 pharmacists, 1 regulated pharmacy technician, and 8+ part time pharmacy assistants. We are looking to hire another part-time or full-time pharmacist who can commit to our mission and add value to our store. Our regulated pharmacy technician handles technical checks of prescriptions and blisterpacks, freeing up pharmacists to do more clinical work. We have recently installed a SynMed blisterpacking machine to also help free more time for the assistants and ultimately the pharmacist.

We are looking for a pharmacist who:

• Has a positive attitude, is reliable/flexible and is dedicated to our mission
• Can work efficiently and handle a busy work environment
• Enjoys building customer relationships
• Can manage and motivate other pharmacy staff members
• Is injection certified

Compensation:

• Competitive wage
• Salary range for this position is between $52-55 per/hour
• Extended health benefits covered by employer
• Commission for clinical services performed
• Vacation time
• Performance bonus at the end of the year
• License and BCPHA renewal fees also covered by employer
