Job Summary :
Hosted Operations Engineer
Design, automate, and monitor Azure and on-prem infrastructure. Working with VM's, storage, networking, and security. Creating and deploying with IaC.
Job Description :
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
- Develop and maintain automated configuration management processes using tools such as Ansible, Azure Automation, PowerShell or Chef.
- Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery in Azure environments.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement, optimization, and cost reduction.
- Could you collaborate with development / Installation teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications in Azure?
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues, including on-call support as needed.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends related to Azure and configuration management.
- After hours / on call
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related hands-on experience.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a focus on Azure configuration management, Azure deployment, IaC,
- Strong understanding of Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Azure Automation, PowerShell DSC, or Chef.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Incredible communication skills, attention to detail, customer facing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Datadog experience a plus
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400) are a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies.
