Head Housekeeper
Private Residence –Bel Air
Schedule: Full-time, 9am – 5pm
Compensation: $45/hr + Full Benefits
An UHNW family is seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and discreet Head Housekeeper to oversee the daily upkeep and overall cleanliness of their private residence. The ideal candidate has a background in luxury households, leads by example, and can manage a small team while maintaining the highest standards of service and discretion. This is a hands-on role that requires both leadership and a willingness to assist with all housekeeping tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the residence to impeccable standards
Supervise, train, and schedule other housekeepers or housekeeping vendors
Create and implement housekeeping checklists, cleaning protocols, and seasonal deep cleaning plans
Manage laundry and wardrobe care, including couture garments, fine linens, and specialty items
Care for fine furnishings, antiques, art, and high-end surfaces using appropriate methods
Inventory and order household supplies, including cleaning products and linens
Coordinate with estate staff, including the Estate Manager, Chef, and Personal Assistant
Prepare guest rooms and maintain readiness for guests at all times
Assist with packing/unpacking for travel and maintaining wardrobe organization
Ensure security, safety, and privacy protocols are followed
Occasionally assist with pet care, errands, or light meal service if needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a similar role within a UHNW or high-profile household
Strong knowledge of fine home care, laundry techniques, and household product use
Prior team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Fluent in English; strong communication skills
Trustworthy, highly organized, proactive, and respectful of boundaries
Able to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality
Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends or evenings as needed
Legal to work in the U.S.; valid driver’s license a plus
