Rates : $50 / hr T4 OR $60 / hr Inc.
Overview :
Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer, to design, build, and operate reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure platforms. In this role, you will support mission-critical systems across cloud, on premises, or hybrid environments while working closely with engineering, security, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and highly available.
Manage cloud and / or on?prem environments, including compute, storage, and networking.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes.
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
Apply security best practices, including access control, encryption, and system hardening.
Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to support delivery pipelines.
Document system architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications :
Degree / Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, cloud, or platform engineering.
Strong experience administering Linux and / or Windows Server environments.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper?V, KVM).
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI?DSS, HIPAA).
Cloud or infrastructure certifications (Azure, Kubernetes, VMware).
