Data Analyst / Technical Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities :
Analyze data sets to determine data gaps and work with cross functional teams to bridge the gap
Liaise with the business analysis team to understand the data requirements
Support the team with data analysis, such as data source discovery, data usage viability and data sourcing
Coordinate data sourcing with upstream data teams
Partner with team on testing with data verification, completeness, and data quality checks.
Participate in data driven initiatives, such as data linage, data quality checks, data migration
Qualifications - External
Skills Required :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar
Minimum 10 years of experience in global organizations as a Data Analyst.
Proficiency in Data Analysis, with working experience in SQL and relational databases
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; as well as work in an international team setting.
Have strong reasoning skills, logical deduction and apply to data analysis
Collaborate effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions and roles.
Present and be able to tell a story with the data analysis / reporting
Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks assigned.
Ability to problem solve and have creative solutions in challenging environments
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, demanding and team-orientated environment
Good customer service skills. Ability to deal with difficult situations gracefully.
SQL querying building, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Skills Desired :
Experience working in medium to large-scale development projects.
Knowledge of trades data, positions data, reference data.
Experience in trade lifecycles and asset classes, Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Futures
Understanding of Risk / Compliance surveillance platforms (Actimize, MANTAS, Sungard) and their models, Wash trades, Marking the Open / Close, Spoofing, Insider Trading, etc.

Position Description :
This role is part of the Financial Advisor Monitoring and Registration Department, within LCG. This team supports the Risk and Compliance divisions with tools and applications to assist them with their task of monitoring Financial Advisor's compliance with the Firm's policies and procedures.
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for various support activities around our group s data, including, but not limited to data verification, pattern discovery, data quality verification, data migration support and analytical insights. The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below and be a self-driven, dedicated individual who works well in a team and thinks and acts strategically. When faced with a problem, the candidate should be able to ask questions and leverage the skills and expertise of those around them. They would work well as individual in an exploratory manner to learn and understand the data and its flows.
