About the Opportunity

Direct Finance Operations : Oversee daily operations of the finance function across multiple locations in Canada and the U.

S., ensuring consistent and efficient financial management.

• Team Management : Manage accounting staff, providing training, coaching, and support to develop their skills and ensure high performance.
• Financial Reporting : Responsible for the financial accounting and reporting function, including the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports related to operating performance, cost analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Process Optimization : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization to improve efficiency.
• Audit Management : Oversee the entire annual audit process for both Canadian and U.S. divisions, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
• Budgeting & Forecasting : Oversee the annual budgeting process, business partnering across the organization. View and speak to monthly variances.
• Treasury Management : Direct and manage the treasury function, including developing and maintaining relationships with banks, lenders, and other financial institutions.
• KPI Implementation : Identify and implement key performance indicators to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
• Internal Controls : Develop and implement financial and internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Strategic Analysis : Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, cost reduction, and process improvements.
• Travel : once a month (1-2 days) for the next few months, but will decrease to once or twice a quarter

About You

• CPA designation is required.
• Proven experience in a senior financial management role, with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience managing large teams and driving process improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software, including system implementation and management.

Salary Range

$150,000 - $160,000 / year
