Herzing College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Faculty member in the Plumbing program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accredited training program curricula, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and industry-relevant education in plumbing. This role requires a strong commitment to teaching excellence and the ability to support and guide students through their apprenticeship journey.Location : Winnipeg Campus, 1700 Portage AvenueEmployment Type : Full-timeKey Responsibilities : Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with the accredited training program curricula for the Plumbing trade.Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and address the needs of diverse learners.Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning goals.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the plumbing industry, including best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure the program aligns with current industry standards and employer needs.Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field of plumbing.Qualifications : Hold a valid journeyperson certificate in the Plumbing trade.Have completed, or be currently enrolled in, a provincially recognized teaching certificate program, such as Teaching for Learning in Applied Education (TFL), formerly known as the Certificate in Adult Education, or Technical Vocational Teacher Education.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Demonstrated commitment to fostering a supportive and effective learning environment.Experience in adult education and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.Preferred Qualifications : Previous teaching experience in a technical or vocational setting.Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital teaching tools.Experience in the development of curriculum materials for vocational and / or trades training.Application Process : Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume, cover letter, and proof of qualifications.
