Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Lease Administrator / Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing lease agreements, ensuring compliance with financial terms, and supporting strategic real estate decisions. Your expertise will help maintain accurate data and foster strong relationships with stakeholders, contributing to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze and interpret commercial lease agreements, amendments, and subleases to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Conduct rent variance analyses and manage timely rent payment processing.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and landlords to address and resolve lease-related concerns.
  • Review annual landlord reconciliation statements and real estate tax calculations for accuracy and compliance with lease terms.
  • Enter, validate, and manage lease-related data within company systems while tracking critical dates.
  • Audit and review escalations, real estate tax invoices, and landlord statements to ensure proper documentation and adherence to agreements.
  • Oversee subtenant account management, including billing and collections of third-party tenant rents.
  • Collaborate on special projects assigned by management to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor lease portfolios to support strategic business decisions and ensure portfolio-wide data accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in lease administration, accounting, or property management.
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret complex commercial lease language.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and multitasking skills to manage workload effectively under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact and collaborate with business partners.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic, detail-focused environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred but not mandatory.
