Job Description
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide the services of a subject matter expert (SME) to support the implementation of a LCSS (Land Command Support System) platform integration cell.
You will function as a storefront for Project Managers in the Director General Land Equipment Program Management and Director General Major Project Delivery (Land & Sea) to coordinate and facilitate the integration of LCSS in weapon platforms.
You will initiate service-level agreement, assist in connecting program management with the applicable desk officers, conduct a regular LCSS platform integration working group for the Project Manager to meet with the many offices of primary interest, track issues / action items / risk and coordinate schedules.
Tasks will include :
- Meet with platform WSM and facilitate their access to LCSS platform integration services.
- Staff SLAs (Service-Level Agreements)
- Coordinate and run Working Group meetings.
- Function as staff officer
- Coordinate the Working Group stakeholders to assist platform WSMs resolve LCSS platform integration issues.
- Maintain documentation and files for weapon platforms and LCSS integration issues.
- Maintain Action Item and Risk database.
- Coordinate with LPIWG stakeholders to update the status of and close LPIWG Action Items.
- Maintain a master coordinated schedule for events related to the development, integration, fielding, and support of LCSS and applicable weapon platforms.
- Produce reports and presentations as needed.
- Conduct engineering and management analysis of LCSS platform integration issues as needed.
- Produce monthly reports that will include updates on all projects supported, schedule of planning engagements service level agreement status, and impact assessment of key activities.
Qualifications
Hybrid role.(2-3 days per week on-site)Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a System Specialist on Military C4ISR (Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) systems.Communicating information technology framework / strategies to management and technical staff.Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems.Performing strategic, operational, or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.Proof of STEM diploma (2 year minimum) in networking, software, computer, systems, electrical or a suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR.Must have at least 8 years of experience in the last 10 years in system engineering in a minimum of four of this assessment area’s criteria.Demonstrated work experience in planning, configuring, employing, and managing command and control communication and information systems in a distributed platform environment or within a client / server environment, or ISTAR systems.Demonstrated work experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex communication and information system and / or ISTAR system problems.Demonstrated work experience in analyzing, designing and / or implementing solutions for communication and information systems or ISTAR systems.Demonstrated work experience in developing and documenting system management solutions (tools and processes) for command-and-control communication and information systems in mobile platforms or within a client / server environment, or ISTAR systems.Demonstrated work experience in system integration, verification, and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and / or custom developed) in new or existing systems.Demonstrated work experience in life-cycle management of tactical communication and information systems, or ISTAR systems.Must have experience : providing advice, guidance, and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management. participating in multi-disciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks, or strategies.
