Job Position : PowerBI Specialist

Job Location : Remote

Job Duration : 12+ Month Contract

Job Description:

In addition to technical skills, this person must have strong people and have experience in working with executives.

Strong design skills to help imagine and recommend appropriate analysis and visualizations that will give business leaders insights and enable data-led investment decisions.

Consulting experience is a plus. Candidates should have a shareable portfolio of example work.

Technical Skills:

Expert in PowerBI, building data models, and analyzing datasets

Experience building dashboards showing multiple visual views of performance with easy drill down capability for varying levels of leadership

Well versed in database fundamentals including relational and multidimensional database design

Over five years of experience in tools and systems on MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and T-SQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX

Experience developing standard operating procedures and training programs is desirable

Responsible for developing a self-service portal/report, and associated prototyping

Able to utilize HTML is a plus

Ability to data engineer and collaborate in design of data sets and data warehouse

Strong data analysis capabilities (Excel/pivot tables, etc.) that will support ad hoc reporting and data extraction

Strong understanding and familiarity with portfolio management, project management and product management methodologies and activities

Deep experience and familiarity with financial management and reporting, as well as non-financial (outcome based) performance reporting.
