As a Technical Tooling & Training Co-ordinator, your main responsibilities and duties will include :
- Plan and organise the core Engineering Training program in line with pre‑agreed schedules
- Liaise with suppliers in developing the most cost effective and beneficial training programs
- Liaise with external suppliers to develop cost‑effective and value‑adding training solutions
- Plan and organise training dates that consider shift patterns, holidays and manufacturing programs
- Schedule training sessions that accommodate shift patterns, holidays, and manufacturing commitments
- Provide and / or organise one‑to‑one mentorship for Technical Apprentices daily, with complimented works that align, where possible, with external studies
- Oversee progress reviews ensuring any actions are taken on board by the trainee; conduct and oversee apprentice progress reviews, ensuring all agreed actions are implemented
- Work closely with the Senior Projects Engineer in developing beneficial training programs for the Projects Team, in line with other areas of the Department. Collaborate closely with the Senior Projects Engineer to develop training programmes that support the needs of the Projects Team and align with wider departmental objectives
- Work closely with the Project Management Team in developing beneficial training programs for the Team
- Partner with the Lead Setters to enhance technical training capabilities through the creation and delivery of key bespoke training programs centred around known areas of development
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of Technical Training courses for use across Operations and Engineering
- Conduct regular checks of the damaged tooling racks ensuring the repair or replacement of any tool is effectively dealt with within the Engineering Team
- Perform frequent inspections of the tooling stores ensuring adequate availability of machine tooling across all the manufacturing equipment
- Oversee and further develop the Technical Tooling process used at Welland Medical
Other Duties :
A degree of flexibility is needed, and the job holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above and which will be appropriate to the level of the role. All duties must be carried out in compliance with company Quality System, health and safety policies and regulations set out in the Medical Device Directive.
