We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll and provide timely, accurate support to employees across our client's organization. Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 155 employees, including both salaried and hourly staff.Maintain and update employee payroll records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.Set up new hires and maintain employee data in the RISE cloud-based payroll system (full technical support provided).Pull, verify, and reconcile hourly employee time entries.Process expense reports received through the general inbox, including RFP program calculations.Support payroll-related programs such as tuition reimbursement within a public accounting environment.Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs), payroll adjustments, and all required payroll documentation.Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll legislation.Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll, expenses, discrepancies, and related matters.Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth and efficient payroll operations.Qualifications :
PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) - highly preferredCPM (Certified Payroll Manager) - assetDiploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred3+ years of Canadian payroll experience, ideally in a large or mid-sized organization with similar scope and complexity.Strong understanding of Canadian payroll laws, compliance requirements, and regulations.Experience processing payroll for both hourly and salaried workforces.Proficiency with cloud-based payroll systems (RISE experience is an asset).Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.Proven ability to meet strict deadlines, particularly around payroll cut-off periods.Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
