Location : Various locations across British Columbia As anEnvironmental Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring thatorganizations comply with environmental regulations and standards.

Your rolewill be crucial in monitoring environmental practices, conducting inspections,and promoting sustainable practices within the jurisdiction.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of facilities and operations to assess adherence to environmental laws and regulations.
  • Review and analyze environmental impact assessments, reports, and permit applications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to organizations and stakeholders on environmental regulations, best practices, and compliance strategies.
  • Investigate and respond to environmental complaints and violations, taking appropriate enforcement actions as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation related to inspections, compliance, and enforcement activities.
  • Collaborate with other regulatory agencies, environmental organizations, and community groups to address environmental issues and promote sustainability.
  • Stay updated on changes in environmentalregulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure effective complianceand enforcement.
