Job description

Our client in the NIagara area is looking for a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Facilities Warehouse and Maintenance Attendant. If you are a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment, this is your opportunity. You'll be the backbone of the operations, ensuring the facilities are always in top condition and our materials are managed efficiently.

Monday - Friday 7 : 30AM - 4 : 40PM

Working independently

$30 / hr

Responsibilities

Perform general repairs and maintenance on buildings, fixtures, and equipment (e.g., replacing light bulbs, general cleaning, small repairs).

Handle seasonal maintenance duties like cutting grass and snow removal.

Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules (IHSA and OHSA) and regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous waste and scrap materials.

Check and record schedules for fire extinguishers.

Manage all incoming and outgoing material (shipping, receiving, preparation).

Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the warehouse and yard, reporting shortages to the manager.

Perform inventory counts (periodic and year-end).

Process paperwork (requisitions, returns, receiving documents) accurately.

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard.

Assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications

Strong functional understanding of building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire, and security.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) for creating reports, documents, and spreadsheets.

Proven ability to quickly adapt to varied work assignments and shifting priorities, drawing on an understanding of related work processes.

Demonstrated ability to independently solve routine problems and suggest process improvements by evaluating known options.

Professional demeanor with excellent tact, diplomacy, and discretion when interacting with diverse personalities and work styles.

Exceptional attention to detail to ensure work is completed accurately and thoroughly.

Efficient and accurate data entry skills for maintaining precise records and documentation.
