Senior Operations Manager, North of 60

The Senior Operations Manager leads and oversees company operations in Northern Canada ensuring effective delivery of services and projects. Reporting to the Director North of 60 you will drive operational excellence manage budgets and support organisational strategy. This role requires travel to remote and austere environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate operations including project planning execution site services and maintenance.
• Oversee project financials budgets and resource planning.
• Manage support services (HR IT Finance) to improve efficiency and communication.
• Ensure safe effective delivery of assigned projects/contracts from proposal to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients vendors and internal teams.
• Supervise and support staff promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Oversee environmental and occupational health and safety programmes at all sites.
• Manage labour requirements and industrial relations.
• Contribute to organisational strategy policy and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in operations and project management.
• Strong background in facility maintenance and operations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with government contract management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive operational effectiveness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
• Comfortable working in remote diverse environments and travelling by small plane/helicopter.

• Based in Calgary or Ottawa.
