Job Title : Welder Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to cut, shape, measure, and assemble metal components using a variety of tools and equipment such as saws, calipers, grinders, shears, and presses. You will perform welding on metal components using FCAW, inspect the quality of welds, and adhere to all safety protocols including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Additionally, you will conduct basic maintenance and upkeep of welding machinery and operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Cut, shape, measure, and assemble metal components using various tools and equipment.
• Perform welding on metal components using FCAW.
• Inspect the quality of welds.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Conduct basic maintenance and upkeep of welding machinery.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Work Environment

The work environment is a well-lit, temperature-controlled area that includes both assembly and production portions of the facility. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in both departments. The shift is from 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 / hr.
