We are currently looking for highly professional, experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in retirement facilities in the Greater Sudbury area.
Shifts are dependent on the facilities' needs; ranging from days, evenings, or nights. Please note this posting is proactive and for ongoing needs depending on the needs of our partnered facilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining client records and required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Interpreting and adhering to company policies, procedures, practices and philosophies.
- Managing medications as prescribed and observes changes in condition and reports them on the personal charts and to the Director of Health and Wellness. Monitoring the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensuring narcotic count is correct.
- Assisting in maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents and personnel.
- Participating in orientation and in-service programs and on standing committees as assigned by the Director of Health and Wellness.
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the residents
- Liaising with family members when required and acting as a resource for questions, concerns regarding practices or related health care issues. Reports family concerns to the Director of Health and Wellness and other staff.
- Reporting unusual occurrences, safety hazards or illness or problems with clients to the Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Active registration with the College of Nurses of OntarioCNO Renewal Receipt for the current yearPhoto IDBLS CertificateValid First Aid & CPRProof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMRV) proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year as well as Hepatitis BCurrent Vulnerable Sector Police Check in ON (within 6 months)Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skillsMust be able to work the flexible shift timesMust be reliable (once availability is given) to be placed at an agreed upon facility / unit.Must be in compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance / cancellation policy (provided for review upon hiring).
