Job description

Tier 2 Support Analyst

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Tier 2 Support Analyst for a 8 month contract in Calgary, AB.

Tier 2 Support Analyst Job Details

  • Act as a Tier 2 Support, and resolve more complex and impactful issues that T1 has escalated
  • Advanced system troubleshooting, hardware recommendations and for corporate devices
  • provide specialized knowledge in certain areas of mobile device and endpoint management
  • Support all aspects of enterprise applications, registrations, and proxy settings
  • Provide Application patching
  • Strong knowledge of Power Shell, Active Directory and Group Policy Management
  • Provide support on device configurations, user policies, authentication methods, data retention and MFA settings / passwords.
  • Provide mentorship to Tier 1 to help foster a pro-active Support team long term.

Tier 2 Support Analyst Responsibilities

  • Provide clear written and verbal communication
  • Have Advanced technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, operating systems, and hardware and software trouble shooting
  • Strong ability to diagnose complex issues, identify root causes and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to handle escalated issues with patience and a high level of professionalism, at all levels of the organization.
  • Stay up to date with new technology trends and adapt to changing environments and requirements
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and apply logical thinking to resolve common issues
  • Tier 2 Support Analyst Mandatory Skills

  • 7+ years of experience supporting end users in office and remotely
  • Advanced, deep troubleshooting experience
  • Good time management skills
  • adaptability into a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong understanding of general IT infrastructure expertise
  • Previous experience supporting an On-prem and hybrid-cloud environment
  • Strong skills within Server, Network, Azure and Active Directory
  • Good working knowledge of IT Security principles and best practices
