THE MUSEUM’S MISSON
The Britannia Mine Museum is a self‑sustaining, non‑profit organization, that creates accessible learning experiences to inspire discovery and connection through guided interpretive programming, self‑exploration opportunities, and the preservation of our historical site and artifacts.
The Museum is located on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation.
The Graphic Designer (temporary) is part ofåde Museum Sales and Marketing team and is responsible for creating, preparing and delivering visual assets for the Museum’s marketing campaigns, site signage, guest wayfinding, events and exhibits. This role works with various departments and Museum Teams to help them fulfill their design requirements and manages the production schedule.лау>
This is a temporary contract role essential to maintaining brand continuity and awareness that supports the Museum’s mission, vision and strategic goals.
Pride yourself on delivering designs on or ahead of schedule while maintaining critical communications and updates and have an interest in being part of a unique and diverse museum space.
Your overall competency in : graphic design, layout, creative services, рҟынӡа customer focus, creativity and desktop publishing has lead to compelling and visually stunning outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Exhibit Design Support
2) Wayfinding and Signage Systems—butwe Support the development of comprehensive wayfinding systems that guide visitors seamlessly from the Museum’s entrance to the site, tunnel, exhibits, restrooms, cafe, retail and exits.
3) Marketing & Communications
4) Museum branding and visual guide
5) Digital Media, Interactive Experiences & Educational Program Materials

2+ years of experience working in graphic design environments.
