Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), goeasy is looking for a Senior Manager, Business Continuity Management .

You will be a proven leader in the Business Continuity Management (BCM) space that will drive all aspects of the BCM program for the goeasy enterprise.

Bringing your passion for resilience to the table, you are a self-starter that looks to position business continuity as a support to the business as it continues to grow.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure Business Continuity and Crisis Management is embedded as an enterprise process, and is established as part of M&A and in new vendor engagements by the enterprise.
  • Create and maintain the BCM framework, policies, plan and test result documents.
  • Experience coordinating, handling and managing a BCP event.
  • Maintain excellent relationship with key stakeholders such as IT, Legal, HR, Audit, Operations, Marketing, Finance and other corporate teams.
  • Coach and mentor corporate stakeholders at all levels on the value and need for development, maintenance, and recurrent testing of the Business Continuity Plans.
  • Track and report on progress of the plan development and maintenance to cross functional leadership.
  • Track and report progress on BCM test activities to cross functional leadership.
  • Use BCM technologies to automate business continuity planning and send mass notification alerts.
  • Maintain situational awareness of current events globally, nationally, and locally and communicate their potential impact on the business.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate with key BCM, IT DR and Crisis Management vendors.
  • Conduct quality assurance on the plans and test results and report back to the business units on areas of improvement.
  • Work closely with the IT Security and IT Risk teams.

What experience do you have?

  • 5-7 years of work progressive experience in business continuity, organizational resilience and / or crisis management.
  • Undergraduate degree with a focus in Information Technology or Cyber Security is preferred.
  • Post-Secondary education with a focus on business continuity, emergency management, organizational resilience, or crisis management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in assessing business impacts, contingency planning, and championing organizational resilience.
  • Recognized business continuity or resilience designation such as ABCP, CBCP.
  • Experience with common business continuity management software platforms such as Alert Media, Service Now (Fairchild), Archer and Everbridge.
  • Emergency Management, Business Continuity, and / or Crisis Management response experience is a requirement.
  • Experience working in financial services or retail sectors.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and International best practices and laws is an asset.
  • Ability to travel, as required.

We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability to work three days onsite per week , between our Mississauga and downtown Toronto office.
