Job description

What will you do?

Simply put, you will be responsible for maintenance and building operations. Below are some of the primary responsibilities that entails; we’ll discuss the others in person :

  • Carry out and / or Supervise preventative maintenance and regular inspections on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and life safety systems;
  • Complete tenant service calls such as changing lights, heating / cooling calls etc. in a safe and professional manner;
  • Oversee the appearance and safety of the properties;
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions / recommendations;
  • Oversee contractors and ensure they abide by contract guidelines and project timelines;
  • Respond to emergency after hours calls as required;
  • Communicate with Property Management on building and tenant issues regularly;
  • Maintain maintenance and daily logs of equipment including meter readings;
  • Maintain keys and locks register

There are also some physical requirements associated with this job. Here are some of the fun things we’ll need you to confirm you can do :

  • Bending, twisting, crouching, climbing and reaching
  • Move and lift equipment and supplies
  • A combination of walking, standing, sitting and driving. There won’t be too much sitting at all, so don’t worry about getting restless.

  • You’ve gained your experience in an industrial / commercial / office / retail Real Estate environment
  • You have a valid and clean Class G driver’s license
  • You are familiar with safety and fire codes and WHIMIS procedures;
  • Your computer and communications skills are above par
