Purpose Of The Position

IEM is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for our Surrey, B.C. locations and will report into our Continuous Improvement manager. Join our transformation journey as a lean professional supporting kaizen activities, standard work documentation, and data-driven process improvement. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with a passion for lean manufacturing and a desire to grow in a structured CI environment.

Please note : This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Surrey offices and does not offer remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional kaizen events focused on lean fundamentals, standard work, visual management, flow, problem-solving and strategic growth / capacity initiatives
• Assist in the implementation of tools and processes across operations, supply chain, engineering, and commercial functions
• Develop internal capability by supporting the training and coaching team members / leaders in lean thinking, daily management and continuous improvement practices
• Create improvement roadmaps based on assessments of the business system maturity
• Enable teams to embrace standardization, accountability, and data-driven decision making
• Identify and document internal best practices

Qualifications

Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
