Our client offers an opportunity for an accomplished network and infrastructure professional to take on a broader architectural mandate within a complex enterprise environment. The Network Solutions Architect role is designed for someone who has built a strong reputation delivering reliable, scalable, and secure network solutions and is now looking to expand their strategic influence. The position focuses on designing and implementing end-to-end network and connectivity solutions across LAN, WAN, SDN, and cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and long-term business objectives while balancing performance, cost efficiency, and security.
In this role, you will contribute to domain-level infrastructure strategy and reference architecture, leading the design and delivery of enterprise-scale network solutions that support both on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. Your expertise will be applied to optimizing network performance, resiliency, and security, including disaster recovery and high-availability architectures. You will provide technical leadership on complex initiatives, collaborate closely with Solution Designers, Divisional Architects, Shared Services teams, and key vendors, and maintain architectural integrity throughout delivery. A key aspect of the role includes mentoring and coaching other Solution Architects and Designers, producing clear and thorough architectural documentation, and ensuring compliance with IT risk, security, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will bring a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 5–7 years of experience in a comparable architecture role and a broader career spanning 10 or more years in enterprise IT. TOGAF certification is required, along with demonstrated experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale networks. You will have strong hands-on knowledge of core networking protocols and technologies, including TCP / IP, BGP, MPLS, QoS, and IPv4 / IPv6, as well as experience with SDN, VPNs, firewalls, and modern network security practices. Experience with hybrid cloud networking—particularly Azure VNet peering, ExpressRoute, and VPN Gateway—is essential, as is proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Additional strengths may include advanced networking certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, or CompTIA Network+, experience working in Agile and DevOps environments, and the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders. Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills, combined with the ability to educate, influence, and collaborate at multiple levels of the organization, will position you for success in this role and provide a compelling next step in your career.
Please note that all successful applicants must meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
