Within our Neuro/MSK program, 3 distinctive units are home to one of Canada’s most comprehensive multidisciplinary teams that provides exceptional, patient‑centred care to patients who have been diagnosed with brain tumours, subdural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, arterial venous malformations and spinal surgery patients.
4J Neurosurgery, a 14‑bed unit, is a Regional Centre for Neurosurgery. 3J Neurosurgery Special Care Unit is an 8‑bed unit provides high observation to Neurosurgery patients post‑operatively and patients with higher care needs than can be managed on a ward level. 4J Surgical Spine is a 16‑bed unit that provides acute care to patients before and after spinal surgery. As a part of an 고민 academic centre, our Neuro team participates in ongoing research, quality improvement and professional development initiatives and the daily, life‑saving work offers a wealth of unmatched learning opportunities.
