Job description

Job Description

  • Engage in performance improvement efforts on process improvement and optimization within laboratory functions such as : lab supply inventory and ensuring efficient documentation system, procedures and protocols are adhered to.
  • Flexibility in providing Technical and operational support to Technical Manager and team on quality and environmental initiatives
  • Escalate issues beyond elementary laboratory quality assurance capabilities and assist as required to affect repairs, maintenance and documentation of all quality aspects / equipment.
  • Coordinate proficiency test program
  • Lab team rostering
  • Focus on laboratory requirements with regards to standard work instruction and regulatory requirements
  • Verify all Laboratory data to maintain data integrity
  • Support organizational quality and environmental initiatives across the site.
  • Execute Administrative tasks.
  • Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Associate Degree in science or similar degree in microbiological testing and lab techniques
  • 2-3 years experience in food or water laboratory setting
  • Preferred

  • Knowledge of NELAC, IBWA, FDA & ISO 17025.
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of Lean problem-solving tools
  • Certificate in Training of Trainers or experience in training.
