What you’ll do :
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
- Collaborate with the Team in initiating, developing, and implementing plans, policies, and innovations that will ensure the growth in sales, service, and earnings including future forecasting and business development.
- Engage with members and guests through various touch points and communication channels
- Drive sales through the in-store sales team by identifying customer focused solutions using the full Home Centre product lineup.
- Be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of the store location, property, and rolling stock while providing operational direction and oversight in the implementation of programs and policies.
- Oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, and image standards.
- Be responsible for achieving budgeted goals through pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory control in each commodity.
- Be responsible for building strong customer relationships, delivering solutions, and overseeing and monitoring client satisfaction.
- Provide leadership to the team members and team leaders including the functions of acquisition, training, development, coaching and performance management.
- Oversee adherence to the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, policies, procedures, records, and training requirements.
- Articulate and effectively communicate a vision for success to the store leaders and team members.
- Actively collaborate with leaders in the Home and Building Solutions business unit and in community events in the Prince Albert area.

Have 10+ years of relevant experience in the home and building, construction, or retail industry, with at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience.Have experience and knowledge in estimating and construction; knowledge of trends and codes is an asset.Have experience coaching, mentoring, developing, and leading a teamAre highly organized and innovative with excellent analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.Have superior decision making and interpersonal skills.You have a strong computer and technical background, including effective knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power pointYou must be able to fulfill physical job requirements – manual labour is requiredYou are willing to travel for short periods of time to attend training events and buying showsYou are flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends and eveningsAre honest, trustworthy, results oriented, and proud of the work that you do.A valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum) is requiredWhat we offer :
