Logistics CoordinatorMississauga ON (South West)Our client is a well-established leading distributor of food products both domestic and globally.

This small but mighty team is looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to their team in Mississauga ON. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound logistics including the transportation arrangements, negotiating rates and managing the CHEP reporting program.

ResponsibilitiesOversee inbound or outbound logistics, both domestically and internationally.Track and expedite shipments and ensuring that any changes to shipment status is accurately communicated in real time.

Prepare and maintain, BOLs, inbound and outbound receipts and logs, maintain records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.

Report and track damaged shipments and initiate carrier claims Resolve problems concerning transportation and logistics.Manage, maintain and update tracking tools with regards to logistics i.

e. open orders report, inbound / outbound containers spreadsheet, rate sheets etc.Qualifications2+ years’ experience in within the transportation or logistics industry working directly with carriers servicing North America.

Experience setting up and monitoring temperature-controlled shipments. Negotiating competitive freight rates directly with carriers.

Preparing BOL’s and other shipping documentation as needed. Intermediate level Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail.

CCLP or related industry designation is considered an asset. Compensation· $55,000 - $60,000 per year plus benefits.
