Job description

DESCRIPTION

Would you like to work with some of Canada's most innovative AWS partners? Would you like to help a range of different AWS partners grow and improve their capability on AWS?

As a Partner Solutions Architect focused on the Canadian Public Sector (PS) market within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS across the partner community. Working backwards from customer business challenges, you will define partner technical enablement strategies which enable our customers and partners to become more successful on AWS.

Working with partners is a team effort that will require influence and coordination with many senior stakeholders within partners and AWS. You should be just as comfortable talking storage and networking with the Head of Infrastructure or Continuous Deployment with the DevOps team, TCO with the CFO, and cloud strategy with the CIO.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate :

  • Deep technical skills in Solution Architecture and Cloud Computing
  • Customer facing skills, ideally gained within a partner organization.
  • The ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Understanding of Canadian healthcare mandates, security, and compliance standards.

Key job responsibilities

  • As a key member of the AWS Canada Public Sector Partner team, you will act as the technical trusted advisor to partners, working closely with their technical leadership teams and AWS Partner Managers.
  • Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful partner engagements validating POCs, SOWs, new solutions and architecture designs.
  • Demonstrate vision, creativity, business acumen and deep AWS knowledge in jointly developing industry and vertical partner solutions.
  • Champion AWS partners across the AWS community, working collaboratively with AWS Training, Professional Services and Account teams.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
  • Present AWS services and solutions to the wider partner community participating in external events, such as summits, webinars and product launches.
  • Share partner and customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive improvements.
  • This position requires up to 15% travel.
