Job Title : Red Seal Mechanic

Job Description

The Mechanic will work on over 100 pieces of equipment including power sweepers, pressure washers, and salt spreaders. They will engage in regular planned maintenance, urgent repairs, and projects such as equipment rebuilds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment across two shops on a day-to-day basis.
• Handle a variety of equipment needs and adapt to changing requirements.
• Conduct truck rebuilds including street sweepers, water trucks, and hydro excavators.
• Perform small engine repairs and maintenance during different times of the year, such as snow clearing in winter.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage various projects.
• Tackle equipment breakdowns and perform general maintenance and repairs.
• Service and clean equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Manage and document all work using paper logs, as no computer systems are required.

Work Environment

The work environment includes two shops, offering services throughout the lower mainland 24 / 7, 365 days a year. The role involves working with over 100 pieces of equipment, ranging from brand new to 15 years old. The work is diverse and requires adaptability, as tasks can change frequently. It is a hands-on, sometimes dirty job, where owning basic tools is necessary.
