In Community Program Specialist
Job Summary
Tims Camps has added a new In-School Community Program stream where we bring camp to schools and community groups to help overcome barriers of accessibility and geography. The In-School Program takes the best of what happens at camp and brings it to school gyms, playgrounds and community spaces serving low-income neighbourhoods.
Reporting into the Manager, Community Programs the In-Community Program Specialist supports the planning, direction, implementation, and supervision of Tims Camps Community Programs which take place at schools and / or community group spaces in their designated region. The In-Community Program Specialist is responsible for ensuring participants have a positive, high quality program experience for long term impact. This role will ensure a focus on high quality program facilitation and delivery for maximum impact. The In-Community Program Specialist role applies their knowledge of youth development, outdoor and experiential education, program quality systems, and demonstrated excellence in coaching and facilitation to provide direction, coaching and support to their direct reports and the youth we serve.
Work Location
Daily travel is required within the assigned geographic area, (Winnipeg, Manitoba). This role will work remotely from Winnipeg. Occasional travel will be required to the Home Office, located in St. George, Ontario.
Employment type
This is a full-time permanent position with an anticipated start date of August 12, 2024.
External and Internal. This posting will seek interest from potential candidates with experience working in and navigating with key stakeholders, such as teachers and administrators, donors, child and youth workers, outdoor educators, camp organizations and / or child centered community agencies.
