Job description

A typical day :

  • Advise customers on correct use of equipment; Anticipate and address customer needs proactively, utilizing service interactions as opportunities to introduce and promote new products.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment; Mentor / cross-train others and support other business activities as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Create and maintain job work orders; Fill out proper documentation for receiving, servicing and returning customer products.
  • Identify and source repair parts for installation; Prepare repair estimates
  • Disassemble and repair liquid and power paint sprayers or systems, pumps, industrial coating systems, proportioners, valves, compressors, flow monitors, control systems and related equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance inspections; Install and commission new packages
  • Type service reports, work orders, and respond to client emails; Develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers

Successful candidates will have :

  • Willingness to work overtime and frequent overnight travel are required.
  • 5+ years of experience in paint systems (liquid and powder); Proficient in / with electronics and basic electricity requirements.
  • Experience with pumps, reciprocators, air motors, and lubrication systems.
  • Able to locate and interpret technical service manuals in computerized database; Ability to work in an environment where chemicals and solvents are used.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license for operating a company vehicle. Driver's abstract may be required during the selection process; Valid passport for travel to the USA for training.
  • Ownership of a smartphone and hand tools; Self-motivated and able to work independently, meeting deadlines and progressing through daily tasks.
  • Communication skills in English for customer interactions.
  • As a service technician, you will be expected to move and handle equipment, tools, and materials. This may involve lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs, to performing physical tasks throughout the workday. It is essential that candidates possess the necessary physical capabilities to fulfill these job requirements effectively and safely.
