Location : Prince George, BC Position : Refrigeration Service Technician Hourly Rate :
Responsibilities
- Member of a dynamic, fast-paced service team responsible for enhancing and maintaining customer relations through efficient, professional customer service and improving service department teams targeted measures.
- Perform service, preventative maintenance and installation of Pepsi and Customer owned equipment, (fountain, coolers, vendors, FCB’s, Icemakers, etc.) in trade and in shop.
- Delivery and delivery assistance of Visi / Vend equipment in the trade.
- Using and maintaining trade tools and specialized testing equipment, eg. : electrical multi meters and refrigeration diagnostic tools.
- Completion of invoices, settlement sheets and related paperwork, through hand-held computers and / or a manual paper process.
- Maintain Parts and Equipment Inventory.
- Preparation of marketing equipment.
- Perform all service / maintenance / installation requirements to meet customers’ service requirements to company standards.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, or equivalent GED required.Journeyperson Appliance Service Technician or Refrigeration and AC Mechanic, or similar, strongly preferredCustomer service orientation, communication skills and ability to work independently.Demonstrated mechanical / technical aptitude.Applicants must complete and pass aptitude testing and subject to practical testingAble to safely move heavy vending / cooling equipment, meeting the physical demands of the role which include but are not limited to : lifting / carrying <60 lbs frequently; occasionally pushing / pulling / lifting a maximum of 1,000 lbs (with aid of mechanical device); work with arms extended overhead for prolonged periods of time, able to service equipment in low storage areas with prolonged kneeling, stooping, crouching and squattingAbility to operate a hand-held computer using Apple / Windows based softwareAbility to work flexible shifts including some evenings and weekends on a rotating basisValid Class 5 Operator’s license required with a clean abstract.Selection process as per Section of the Prince George Employees’ Association Working Wage Agreement.
