Payroll Assistant

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our client's team in Toronto, Ontario. In this long-term contract role, you will support payroll operations by collecting and verifying data, ensuring accuracy in payroll-related tasks, and collaborating with team members to maintain smooth processes. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in payroll functions and familiarity with systems like ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities :

• Gather and review employee data to ensure accuracy and completeness for payroll processing.
• Assist in managing payroll-related tasks, including verifying hours worked and identifying discrepancies.
• Support the administration of benefits programs by maintaining accurate records and resolving inquiries.
• Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
• Monitor payroll schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
• Provide assistance with audits and reporting requirements as needed.
• Address payroll-related questions and provide clear communication to employees.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to support payroll activities and streamline processes.
• 1+ years of previous experience in Payroll.
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
• Understanding of payroll functions and benefit administration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Knowledge of relevant payroll regulations and compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills for working with team members and responding to employee inquiries.
