Role

As the attendant, you perform various administrative duties relating to tanker truck access to the loading racks and manage the loading activities operating system. You will be required to alternate between twelve (12)-hour day and night shifts.

Responsabilities

Perform the required operations in the Toptech loading activities operating system :

  • Arrange the operating system so that users can access loading at all times;
  • Follow up with the operation department concerning the opening and closing of loading positions, as required;
  • Issue loading cards and determine whether drivers have received the required training;
  • Issue various updates of client accounts, products, etc.;
  • Do various reconciliations of sold and end-of-day volumes;
  • Invoice clients;
  • Check documents for accuracy, particularly for the quality of products sold when a problem arises;
  • Assist terminal operators using the operation system for various work and to determine whether users are following safety regulations and operational procedures at all times.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of college studies or equivalent experience;
  • 3 to 5 years’ of relevant experience (office work)
  • Very good knowledge of English (daily exchanges with unilingual Anglophones);
  • Good knowledge of computers (Microsoft system);
  • Initiative and good communication skills;
  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts alternating from days to nights.
  • Valero Energy Inc. is governed by the Charter of the French Language. However, knowledge of English is considered necessary for performing the tasks of this position.   The individual in this position will be required to review documents and interact both verbally and in writing with colleagues at the head office in Texas or in other Canadian provinces, or with various stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, unilingual anglophone business partners.
